Choose Your Weapon: pair a smokey eye with a neutral lip | W3LL PEOPLE

The holidays are a great time to get festive with your makeup look. We love smokey eyes. Deep red or berry lips. False lashes. Winged liner. All of it! But remember that you don't have to have it all to look fabulous. Our green beauty guru & co-founder, Shirley Pinkson, reminds you to choose your weapon when doing a bold makeup look. Decide which feature you want to stand out the most, and create your look around it, keeping other aspects subtle and natural.

Choose Your Weapon: pair a smokey eye with a neutral lip | W3LL PEOPLE

In this example, Shirley creates a beautiful smokey eye using our Bio Brightener Stick as a base and primer, and then working Elitist 832 across the lid. She finished the look by lining eyes with Hypnotist Eyepencil in black and two coats of our award-winning Expressionist Mascara. "The most common misconception with a smokey eye is that you need to match the intensity with the lip," says Shirley, "and that is so not the case." By keeping the skin clean, soft and radiant (try our Nacissist Foundation Stick for dewy coverage) and pairing it with a simple, neutral lip (like our Bio Extreme Lipgloss in Nude Rose) Shirley is able to draw attention to the eyes and make them the focal point of this holiday look.
