The "NO MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK" we've all heard the term, but the tricky part is making it happen. Recently our very own Co-founder and Lead Green Beauty Pro, Shirley Pinkson, sat down with the ladies at ELLE Magazine to show them how its done with (you guessed it) plant based products.
We all want to embrace a natural-looking glow and look flawless at the same time. So whats the trick to looking like you’re not wearing makeup? Well, it's makeup.
Shirley shares her top beauty picks and tips to enhance and perfect your skin's natural tone and texture, for a flawless and luminous complexion below.
Step 1: Prep Your Skin
Prep the skin with a complexion softening toner. Toner prepares the skin to absorb the benefits of your tinted moisturizer, and allows for smoother product blending. We love our friends at S.W. Basics Toner because they use skin balancing apple cider vinegar.
Step 2: Smooth Under Eyes
Don’t forget the eye cream! The summer sun can wreak havoc on the thin skin around the eye. A hydrating eye cream, serum, or balm allows for concealer to blend in seamlessly. Step 3: Apply Tinted Moisturizer
Apply a lightweight, multi-tasking tinted moisturizer with a spf. Keep it light, if the tinted moisturizer is too shiny or heavy, it will melt away in the summer heat. Hint. Hint... Get ready for a special W3LL PEOPLE launch later this year!
Step 4: Brighten Up
Tap and blend concealer under the eye and onto the eyelid to instantly brighten the look while complimenting your tinted moisturizer. Step 5: Contour With Cream Bronzer
Apply a cream based bronzer to the contour of the cheeks and the outer corner of the eye with a foundation brush or fingertips. Cream bronzers are a dream to use. The sheer texture gives you more control in application, and they have a bit of sheen, which makes your face look healthy and radiant! Step 6: Heat Up Cheeks
For an added pop of color, tap a warm, peachy cream blush, like our Matte Universalist Multi-Sticks onto the apple of the cheeks (and lips for that extra special pop).
Step 7: Get Lit
Apply a cream highlighter to the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the cupid’s bow, and the lower eyelid. Look for a highlighter that is not too glittery or frosty. The goal is to create a subtle pearly radiance that catches light, enhancing the dimension of your complexion. Step 8: Define Lashes

Step 9: Polish It Off
