nontoxic-holiday-makeup-with-w3ll-people

Hi, Brave Beauties! Shirley here from W3LL PEOPLE and today I'm going to show you one of my favorite classic holiday looks using our safe, non-toxic, cruelty-free cosmetic. This look features a bold, festive lip coupled with natural, glowing skin. W3LL PEOPLE has several incredible new products debuting in 2019, and it's my honor to preview a couple of our new innovations during today's tutorial.

complexion

First, I prep my skin. I'm going to start with our Bio Booster Serum and our Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer. Those of you who have attended my master classes know how much I love the way these two products work together. I'm wearing Bio Tint in Medium. Typically I would match to Light, but I like to add a little color in the winter to warm my complexion. I combine about 1 1/2 pumps of Bio Tint with 2 nourishing drops of our Bio Booster Facial Serum, mix them together in my hand, and then press gently into my skin and blend.

What this creates is a custom serum foundation that delivers a really healthy finish on the skin. Slight imperfections still peek through (embrace them!), but it creates a gorgeous no-makeup makeup look that is radiant and glowy.

Next up is our Bio Correct Multi-Action Concealer, which is probably the most effective piece of makeup in my routine right now. Being a proud mom and business owner equates to some pretty hefty coverage needs! Less is more- a pea-sized amount is all I need to cover both eyes. What I love about this little guy is that A) It packs in a serious amount of coverage, and B) It's loaded with organic coffee seed oil, which is going to stimulate the complexion, calming inflammation, and diminishing any puffiness around the eyes. For the record, our Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer also contains this organic coffee seed oil and it has an SPF of 30, so you're getting both your glow and your protection with this foundation look.

When applying your concealer, make sure not to skip your eyelids. Not only does this help to instantly open and brighten your gaze, but our Bio Correct Multi-action Concealer also acts as a great eyeshadow primer.

At this point, you could leave your skin as-is. That would be my basic everyday foundation look. But, since this is a holiday look, I'm going to add a bit of extra coverage to help my makeup last well into the night. I'm going to take our NEW Bio Base Baked Foundation in Shade 4 (medium neutral), load it up onto my W3LL PEOPLE Kabuki Brush, and press it into my skin. The coverage is light to medium. It is so silky that I will use it to set my concealer and to minimize shine in my T zone. I polish my complexion using downward strokes with the Kabuki Brush to help blend and set the entire foundation.

Time to warm it up! I'm going to use our Bio Baked Bronzer and Kabuki Brush to add some subtle contouring along the perimeter of my forehead and beneath my cheekbone, essentially creating a 'C' shape along the edge of my face. You'll notice that this instantly adds warmth and dimension to your skin.

eyes

Would you like a special preview into 2019 at W3LL PEOPLE? We've started the buzz already, but here's your chance to get a peek at some of the products we're releasing in the new year, starting with our Expressionist Brow Gel (launching in February 2019!).

Start by clearing off any excess product from the brush. Apply it to brows by brushing with short, upward strokes. This is a powerful pigmented gel that acts as a brow tint and brow gel all in one. It adds just a hint of color to help your brows look fuller, and it will hold them in place all day long.

Now that you've met the Expressionist Brow Gel, I am also going to tease you with one more thing, our Nudist Eyeshadow Palettes, which will also be launching in early 2019. Today we're going to create a bright-eyed look using our Nudist Taupe Palette. Next week I will be creating a sultry deep smokey eye using our Nudist Plum Palette. If you're interested in the palette you can get first dibs when it launches by joining the waitlist

'Bone', a matte ivory, will be my base color. I'm going to apply this all over my eyelid. I prefer to press my shadow in which helps place it exactly where you want it.

Now, let's add some dimension by pressing 'Saddle', a warm matte tan, into our crease. I'm going to apply it by deliberately placing it into the crease of my eye. After wiping the excess color from my brush, I blend it out. You an also smooth it out with the tip of your finger to get a really natural smudged look.

Let's add a little glow with ‘Luminaria’, a glistening champagne. This is actually my favorite color in the entire palette, I love light shades on my eyes and the way this color pops. I'm applying this to my eyelids, focusing mostly on the center and blending to the edges. Blend what’s left on the brush underneath the brows creating a soft highlight.

To further add dimension I'm going to use this illuminating bronze tone in the palette called 'Adobe', which has a slight glisten to it. Once the four eyeshadow colors are in place, I use my finger to softly blend everything together.

Time for our Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner! To properly apply a tight line start by wiping any excess product off on the edge of the felt tip applicator as you extract the wand, then use the fine-pointed applicator to gently stipple the liner into the base of your lashes. It's almost like you're trying to dot it in between each lash hair. This technique follows your natural eye shape, makes your lashes look thicker and fuller while defining the eye. This eyeliner is built on performance and longevity, and you'll absolutely love the way it wears.

I'm going to finish my eyes by applying our Expressionist Mascara. I think that mascara is the most magical part of any beauty routine, it just opens up the eyes and finishes the look so beautifully. I have a memorable catchphrase that I say often in my workshops, "Jiggle and Twirl". Just nestle that wand really tight into your lashes, and then jiggle and twirl the brush all the way up to separate the lashes while delivering the perfect amount of product. I apply two coats per eye, and you'll notice that our mascara stays malleable for a few seconds, giving you enough time to work with your lashes and apply that second coat. It doesn't get super dry, crunchy, spidery, or flakey.

cheeks-and-lips

If you know me, you know that mascara and blush are my two most sacred products. I simply don't feel alive without blush, and our Nudist Multi-Use Powder Duo delivers a gorgeous, universally flattering shade of warm coral along with a beautiful golden highlighter. I used our Flat Foundation Brush to apply the coral shade to the apples of my cheeks and then gently blend.

Now we're going to highlight with the golden shade from the Nudist Multi-Use Powder Duo. This shade is super versatile…a good rule of thumb is to apply it where sunlight would naturally hit your face. I'm going to apply it onto the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and center of my forehead. Then I wipe off my brush and use it to blend the glow right into my skin. Our highlighter is different from our Bio Brightener Cream. It's a powder instead of a cream, but it's also a little warmer and golden, versus Bio Brightener which is a little cooler. Depending on your complexion and which tones you prefer, you might want to highlight with the Bio Brightener Stick instead.

The final piece of our holiday look is our Optimist Lipstick in Retrograde. If this gorgeous shade of red isn't enough to win you over, the locking, mirrored tube will surely impress you. Retrograde is the most neutral, wearable red. It has a blue, yet warm undertone and a lot of depth, almost like an oxblood. You can apply our Optimist Lipstick directly to lips for a classic, semi-matte lipstick look, or apply it with a Lipstick Brush and blot it off to wear it as a stain. This is really the finishing touch on this holiday look!

This holiday look that can be easily transformed from day to night. Follow this tutorial for the skin, eyes, and cheeks but use a neutral Optimist Lip Shade like Let it Go for daytime. When you are ready to take it up a notch, switch to Retrograde!
