W3LL Made: Creating a Plum Smoky Eye with W3LL PEOPLE's nontoxic cosmetics.

Hello Brave Beauties, it's Shirley again with a quick tutorial and yet another incredible new product from W3LL PEOPLE to introduce you to!

I'm thrilled to reveal our Nudist Plum Eyeshadow Palette, which will be launching in the next few weeks. Our Nudist palettes each consist of 5 plant-based colors in either a Taupe or Plum range, that have a propriety blend of botanicals, giving each shade a creamy velvet texture, rich color, serious staying power and superior blendability. If you want first dibs on these incredible palettes you can click here and add your name to the waitlist. Our team will email you as soon as these babies are available!

Today I'm going to walk you through a super simple smoky eye look using the five nontoxic shades that are included in the Nudist Plum Eyeshadow Palette.

Start this look off by applying a base eyeshadow. This helps brighten the eye, even skin tone, and create a clean canvas that you can build upon. I used Rose Quartz, a soft delicate peony toned shade. The shadow is so silky that I used my finger to apply and blend! This helps create a natural, "lived-in" look with your base.

In the second step, I'm going to start smoking things up. To do this I'm using the Hypnotist Eyepencil in Black, which will create the perfect primer for a rich, smoky eye. You simply scribble the pencil directly onto your finger, and then gently tap it onto your upper lid similar to how you would apply a cream shadow. We’ve now created the perfect texture for the eyeshadow to adhere to. Don't stress about achieving the most perfectly blended eye- we will be applying eyeshadow over this and it will smooth everything out.

Now it's time to add dimension to this look. The Deep Amethyst shade in the palette is a delicate shimmering plum. It's absolutely gorgeous! It has the perfect balance of shimmer and creaminess, creating the ideal satin texture. Press Deep Amethyst directly on top of the smoothed out black eyeliner. In doing so, you will notice that the shadow blends impeccably!  Really brightening and enlivening the darkness of the pencil.

The last step eyeshadow step is adding a pop of light! I'm simply blending in Aura, a shimmering rose, onto the inner corner of the eyelid. I love how this helps open up and brighten the eye. It glows but isn't glittering.

Finish this smoky eye look with our Expressionist Mascara in Black. I chose to only focus on my upper lid, but if you love a good layer of mascara on the bottom lid- go for it!

If you'd like to convert this look into evening glam for an event or date, simply mimic the eyeshadow application on the bottom lid. Apply a thin smudged line of liner onto the bottom lash-line, and smooth it out with Deep Amethyst. Add a layer of our Expressionist Mascara, and you will instantly have the ultimate smoky eye!

Elevate your entire look by applying a quick swipe of highlighter and concealer. I apply a good amount of our Bio Brightener Stick to my cheekbone before I apply the Bio Correct Concealer (in Light). Once the highlighter is in place, I add a dab of concealer onto the inner half of the under-eye. I then blend both products together with my finger to create luminous coverage.

One of my makeup mantras is ‘choose your weapon’. This look clearly is about the eye, so I'm going to suggest that we keep the lips subtle with a layer of our Bio Extreme Gloss in Nudist. This gloss has natural peptides that plump the lips just enough to smooth them out and minimize fine lines, while this color adds dimension and shine without being too attention-grabbing.
